Lihnida Krstanoska-Blazeska

Australian–Macedonian artist Lihnida Krstanoska-Blazeska works across sculpture and ceramics to explore themes of memory, mythology and cultural identity. Drawing on personal and collective histories, her practice investigates how inherited narratives, symbols and traditions shape contemporary understandings of belonging.

Krstanoska-Blazeska’s works often reference archaeological fragments or imagined artefacts, positioning craft-based processes within a contemporary conceptual framework. Through materially driven forms and layered symbolism, she creates objects that exist between past and present, reflecting on the ways cultural memory is preserved, transformed and reinterpreted across generations.

She holds a Master of Fine Art (Ceramics) from the National Art School and a Bachelor of Design from UNSW Art & Design (2019). In 2024 she presented her first solo exhibition at Gaffa Gallery, Sydney, following her selection for the gallery’s Summer Residency (2023–24). She received the Highly Commended Award at Gosford Regional Gallery (2024) and was a finalist in the Gosford Emerging Artist Prize (2023).
