“This series of photographs were taken over several years in my role as Tour photographer for The Australian Ballet’s tours to Paris, Tokyo and New York. These images intend to capture the energy, grace and passion for movement embodied by the dancers and juxtapose the classical form with the gritty urban landscape of these iconic cities. In this series, the dancers are removed from the highly controlled interior environment of the stage, and taken outside to the streets of multiple city locations.” – Lisa Tomasetti.
