.M Contemporary visits the Elliott Eyes Private Art Collection

Yesterday the .M Contemporary team visited the Elliott Eyes private art collection in Erskineville. The collection includes 25 works by Sydney based artist, Todd Fuller, who .M Contemporary has just recently signed as a gallery artist. It was great to see such an extensive collection across all mediums of his work sitting alongside other amazing artists.

The Elliott Eyes Collection has taken 20 years to assemble. Its focus has of course changed over time but its emphasis is on collecting selected artists in depth, across their career and their various media.

Once an artwork becomes part of a private collection it is often out of sight and out of mind, lost to the public, unless you are invited to come and view the works at their home. The Elliott Eyes Art Collection wanted to counteract this.

The collection is able to be viewed 4 times per month. See their website for details here. You are given a tour that provides insights into the works, stories about how they were obtained and their place in the wider collection.
