‘Gloaming’ is a new solo exhibition by artist Sian Watson whose practice explores the interconnection between humans, animals and the natural landscape.
Working primarily in steel and grout, Watson expands her sculptural practice to the gallery wall by referencing her human bird motifs. ‘Gloaming’ draws on concepts of the liminal time and space between day and night, inviting the audience to reflect on the joint transition of our natural world. These silhouettes capture movement and hold a reflective vibrancy that is only realised under close inspection.
Figurative sculptor, Sian Watson, explores the relationships between humans, animals and their shared environments. Watson captures movement and narrative in her ambiguous forms, reflecting themes of evolution, adaptation and plays on varied viewer interpretation.
