If These Walls Could Talk – Jodi Clark

We are excited to announce our first double solo show for 2020 with Jodi Clark exhibiting along side Hannalie Taute. It will be an electric and experiential exhibition that will take you on a journey into a  fantasy world of the artists’ own making. Ranging from anthropomorphic figures riding on a carousel and vibrant flowers unveiling hidden faces, one will quickly realise that as soon as your eyes adjust to the chaos, only more will appear. The exhibition will also feature Clark’s installation piece You Must Be This Tall To Ride (2015), which will take over our upstairs space.

OPENING MARCH 6 | 6 – 8 PM

Exhibition March 6 – March 22 2020

Originally from Western Australia, Jodi Clark began her studies at Santa Monica College in California, USA and recently completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) at UNSW Art and Design in Sydney, where she currently lives and works. Hybridising human and animal form, Clark’s works evoke and interrogate pornography, yielding absurd, playful and perhaps disturbing images and thematic combinations. Her works are reclamation of female sexuality, refuting the eminence of the male gaze through images that challenge and render absurd the commodification and repression of women.
