CULT Curated x Infinite Design

In 2019 .M Contemporary collaborated with Infinite Design and CULT to curate a dynamic inspiring space filled with art and furniture at Woollahra. The collaboration continue for three months and each month Michelle Paterson (gallery founder) would work with Michelle Macarounas (interior designer) to provide artworks that elevated the space.

“I strongly believe that art should be accessible and that we need to not only nurture our artists but also our new collectors; by taking the art out of stark and sometimes intimidating white cute and placing it in a more approachable setting we can engage with everyone. This collaboration has given us an opportunity to engage with a new audience, to promote our artists and to show art in-situ alongside some of the worlds leading furniture designers.” – Michelle Paterson

Anya Pesce

I am an Australian born, Sydney-based artist.

Agneta Ekholm

Finnish born, Australian based artist Agneta Ekholm’s work is by definition abstract and built entirely from imagination and engagement with her technical process. Each painting evolves on the canvas: no working drawings exist. The paintings result from the exploration and discovery inherent in a technique honed over the last 20 years.

Jarek Wojcik

Jarek Wojcik was born in Szczecin, Poland. He studied painting and art history at the University of Poznan, Poland, graduating with an MA in medieval mural art. He held his first solo in 2015 and has exhibited in galleries in Hong Kong, Melbourne, Paris, Perth, Szczecin and Sydney.

Sally McKay

Sally McKay was born in Melbourne and introduced to Photography at an early age by her father who was a Lithographer and Offset-Printing entrepreneur. She worked as a Portrait Photographer in Sydney for ten years before launching her career as a Photographic Artist. Her inspiration comes from her fascination with individual colour preferences, her introverted inclination towards creativity and mindfulness, and her love of learning. She largely creates works from artifacts found in her immediate environment.

Nemo Jantzen

Nemo Jantzen, born 1970 in The Haque, studied art, design and photography at the RTO Art Academy in Rotterdam. After his studies, he moved to Antwerp to work as a graphic designer and bill-board artist while further developing his technique and style as a fine artist. Finally, after several years in Belgium and some worldly travels, he settled down in Spain where he dedicated his career to fine art.

Will Coles

Will Coles is best known for his defiant and accessible take on street art – sculptures that bring together pop and conceptual aesthetics. These familiar yet unsettling works surprise and delight people in cities across the world as they go about their day.

Simone Rosenbauer

German/Australian artist Simone Rosenbauer lives and works on the lands of Awabakal and Worimi in Awabakal country (Newcastle/Australia). She studied Photography at the University of Applied Sciences in Dortmund (Germany), where she received her BA and MA in 2006. In 2008 she received the European Endeavour Award from the Australian Government to study for her MFA in Photography at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, which she completed in 2010.
