Unlike previous exhibitions, “Sum of its parts” features fragments of figures and faces as though they are too big to fit on the canvas. The portraits are bursting out from the restraints of the canvas edges. They don’t want to fit “inside the box”.

Unchained

Inspired by the logic of natural systems Jason Christopher has produced an eclectic range of multimedia works, fusing innovative technologies with traditional based practices.

Jason explores our synergy with the machine world, commenting on cultural shifts that distance our relationship with natural systems. His work takes a satirical view on our own sense of reality.

These current works explore themes from biblical times through to future projections and aesthetics. Each work is inspired by fables, myths and legends of old and new crossing cultures and continents.

By combining the latest technological production methods with traditional artisan based practice these modern day parodies appear as if they have come from a futuristic production line placed back in the past.
