Ahead of her highly anticipated solo exhibition in 2025, renowned Australian artist Jane Guthleben will lead an exclusive painting workshop for the Young Collectors Initiative. This special session offers a unique opportunity to learn from her celebrated practice, exploring still-life compositions and expressive techniques.
The painting workshop is held from 5 – 7pm on September 2nd.
Through still life paintings of Indigenous flowers, birds, and insects, Guthleben uses the traditions of vanitas and its messages of the transience of life to present a painted vernacular that spans humour, kitsch, historical and environmental themes.
