Emma’s practice explores the ways in which humans perceive and relate to nature. She draws heavily upon eastern philosophies, including taoism and zen buddhism, to highlight and  investigate the interconnectivity between all life.

Emma employs both the use of man made and natural found objects to compose images that embody this intimate connection between man and nature. Projects to date have included exploring the detrimental effects of human manipulation and consumerism, the constant life-cycle to which we all belong, our position within the infinite cosmos and direct acts of reconciliation.
