Emma’s practice explores the ways in which humans perceive and relate to nature. She draws heavily upon eastern philosophies, including taoism and zen buddhism, to highlight and  investigate the interconnectivity between all life. Projects to date have included exploring the detrimental effects of human manipulation and consumerism, the constant life-cycle to which we all belong, our position within the infinite cosmos and direct acts of reconciliation. Born in New Zealand, Emma graduated from Queensland College of Art with a Bachelor of Visual Art in Fine Art. Since completing her degree Emma has exhibited throughout Australia. Her works have been short-listed in the Paul Guest and JADA Drawing Prizes.
